You so rarely see negative reviews on golf discs. Maybe folks are afraid others will think they are bad players if they leave a bad review of a disc? This Resistor is marked for speed 6.5, which means the average arm should be able to use this disc according to its potential. Simply not true. OK, I don't have the fastest arm, but I can turn over my Katana and it is a speed 13. If I can turn over a speed 13 disc I should have no problem turning over a speed 6.5 disc. I can throw this Resistor deliberately at 45 degree angle right of center, with anhyzer, as hard as I can: it will go right for maybe 30-50 feet then it will break left faster than it was going forward, and still end up left of center, sometimes still landing 15 degrees left of center.I have never even once been able to get this "driver" to go beyond 200 feet. I know what you are thinking: this guy just can't throw. I am no pro, but I have been playing for decades. I can literally throw every disc in my bag farther than this Resistor. I don't mean just my other drivers: every. disc. my drivers, my midranges, and even my PUTTER will go farther than this Resistor "driver". The only way this disc might be useful is if you are a pro speed thrower who constantly over throws your drivers, and your drivers mostly end up rollers, then this disc is for you: you can't possibly over throw this one and turn it too far over. But if you have to be that fast to use this disc, why is it marked speed 6.5?For me, the only plus side to this disc is that I have been trying so hard to make it go straight that my arm speed has increased dramatically. Now I have to be careful with my Katana or I will overthrow it, and it will turn over and never come back left.I spent good money for this disc, so I am not going to just throw it in the trash. If you have a different experience with this disc, please let me know, and let me know how you got it to go straight. Thanks!5/12/22 update. Donated the disc to a friend who is a pro to see if she could find a good home for it.Its always a dice roll ordering discs from Amazon. The disc I got has a severely warped flight plate. I straightened it out a little bit by laying a 25lb plate on top of it in the sun but its still a little warped. A non-deformed resistor is an awesome disc, great for forehands.Great stability, speed allows for easy control. Slow enough to get nice long flex shots yet perfect for deep forehand flicksBeen fun to play with. Not that I've actually had much time, but funItem as described, fast shipping, it’s light than I needed for accuracy, went lighter for more distance. Solid productThe resistor I picked up about a year ago has finally gotten into shape and it's worth it. Out of the box it was wickedly overstable. Downright unthrowable for any straight shot. As a lefty forehand player I found its rim extremely comfortable and learned how to throw harder thanks to this disc. After a year of slinging it on wide sloping hyzer flicks It's beaten into a very straight shot with a reliable fade at the end. It just takes a lot more power to get the flight than the flight numbers indicate.
